About the Performing Arts Boosters

Who we are

The Los Altos High School Performing Arts Boosters (PAB) is a parent-led nonprofit that supports Los Altos High School’s performing arts programs — Instrumental Music (the bands, orchestras, and jazz band, including Marching Band & Color Guard), Choir, and Drama. We are a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all parents and guardians of performing arts students are members.

The performances, classes, and ensembles belong to the school and its teachers — the Boosters are here to support them, not to run them.

What we do

The Boosters exist to give every performing arts student the best possible experience. We raise funds and organize volunteers to support things the school budget can’t fully cover, including:

Each program also has its own funds, which its directors direct toward the needs of their students. We operate transparently, with a budget approved by our members and periodic financial reviews.

How we’re funded

Nearly all of our support comes from family contributions through our annual Back-to-School donation campaign, alongside the Fall Festival, employer matching gifts, and occasional community fundraisers. We keep overhead minimal — we’re volunteers — so your gift goes to the students. Donate »

Meetings

The Boosters meet monthly during the school year, on Zoom, and all parents are welcome. Meetings include updates from each program’s director, a treasurer’s report, and a chance to get involved. The Zoom link is shared through the program Google Groups.

Board
